About Me

I know why I gained weight, I didn't work out for 4 years! Yes you read that correctly. I was a competitive swimmer for 16 years, including being a D1 athlete and was in great shape. When I finished I stopped doing anything athletic and approx 40lbs later I have had it (50+ from my heaviest). I have been losing weight but I know my #1 problem - FOOD! Anyone that knows me knows that I love food and I eat a lot. I have to be better about this and decided on the morning of Tuesday June 14, 2011 that public honesty is going to be the next thing I try.
This blog will be insight I find out, my progresses, set-backs, lessons learned and happy moments in my life; but most importantly it will be a place where I can be honest to not only to my family, friends and peers out there but mostly myself!

Current Goals:
1.) Run a 5 mile race on Saturday, January 28th in under 49:00 minutes
2.) Run my 1st 15K on March 10, 2012 at the Gate River Run in under 1 hour and 45 minutes
3.) Be at my goal weight by my birthday in July - 140-45lbs
4.) Meet-up with an old friend this year when we both meet our goals to celebrate
